Having stepped into the unenviable role of following on from undefeated captain, James Hunter, Greg has been grafting away for the last couple of months to make sure that Datchworth have a squad of players ready to vie with the current incumbents of the first team jerseys and battle on the pitch in Herts/Middlesex Merit Table 2.

With the first league match kicking off at 3pm on Saturday now is a good time to acknowledge the hard work he is doing and introduce Greg to the broader Datchworth family who may not yet know him.

Greg had the following to say when asked about taking on the coveted mantle of captain. "It’s a great pleasure to be appointed captain of the 2’s for this season! Since joining Datchworth in 2017 the club has been nothing but supportive on and of the field to me. To be able to follow in the footsteps of some great leaders is a fantastic honour.
It’s been a very hard 18 months for everyone in the rugby community, but we can all say it’s great to be finally back on the field."
