The u14’s travelled to Hampstead for a friendly with a depleted squad and were faced with a team containing a number of under 15 players and despite putting together some decent passages of play were beaten 32 -17.
It was a difficult morning for Datchworth however Christopher Saunders had a fine match using his speed around the field well, and Laurence Pope playing at scrum half consistently got the ball moving out where Owen Macgillivray and Daniel Calvert impressed again with their distribution skills and again Theo Wise worked very hard making a number of telling tackles.
Up front it was a battle yet the Datchworth front row of Samuel Elvery, Aaron Livingstone and the try scoring Dean Carmichael again showed their value to the side all over the field.
We now have two weeks of training before heading down to Bournemouth for the tour.
