The u14’s had a friendly at Harpenden and were well beaten by the Harpenden A team.
In a disappointing morning where the anticipated mixed A/B fixture was replaced with a contest between league 1 Harpenden and league 4 Datchworth the outcome was inevitable.
However Datchworth worked very hard and in some passages proved to be able match the opposition. Harpenden boys showed great pace around the field and power at the breakdown which was too much for the men in Green. Datchworth were able to stem the flow and conceded only three tries in the second half to the teams immense credit with some notable work from Samuel Elvery, Ben Conquest, and James Hunter up front with Will Hoy and Dominic Negri combining at the front of the lineout for some quick ball well distributed by Ethan Batty, Theo Wise on the wing also put in some thumping tackles.
