Datch u14s v Enfield Gramerians - 08/01/2017 – Won 59-17

Datch stretched their legs after the Xmas break and ultimately played some outstanding Rugby to run out winners scoring nine tries.

The Datch handling was excellent all day and they moved the ball wide to allow wingers Jamie (3 tries) and Finn (2 tries) , to show their pace and strength to go score some well taken tries.

Defensively we were strong and Brandon helped organize the line to make life hard for the oppo. Brandon also scored the try of the day where we started deep in our own 22 to move the ball smoothly through the hands to Jamie who was tackled just short of the line , who popped the ball to Brandon who showed excellent support to score the try.

Olly T led from the front and Oscar had a superb performance tackling himself into the ground.

Poacher Ollie crossed for 3 tries and we are still discussing if he was offside for his inception !

Scoring was completed by Angus who capped a strong game with 7 conversions.

Summary

Man of the match went to Jamie for his strong running and solid tackling plus his well taken tries. After the Xmas break this was a fine game and our handling was sublime all game.
