Datch u14s v Saracens B - 05/02/2017 – Lost 31-22

This was a game of two halves , and Datch struggled to get into the game in the first half and ultimately conceded too many soft tries which gave us too much work to do in the second half despite a much improved second half display.

A frustrating first half with too many handling errors and summed up by the yellow card for Ollie B for tackling the man without the ball right on our line.

To their credit Datch came out a different team in the 2nd half and put real pressure of their opponents for the first time.

Ollie B came back and made some amends , scoring 2 tries and a conversion. There was fine tackling from the Chuckle Brothers (Ben and Oscar) and Kieran carried the ball strongly all game, also crossing for our final try.

Finn created problems all afternoon and showed his pace to score a well taken try.

Summary

Need to make sure we play all games like we did in the second half. We must improve our handling as basic errors made the game run away from us.

Man of the Match to Kieran who had a fine 2nd half display capped by a typical strong running try.
