Datch u14s v Fullerians Bs - 05/03/2017 – Won 31-10
The weather was not ideal for running Rugby but thankfully the rain held off and it was a tad windy though !
The endeavor and commitment shown from all Datch players meant that we ran out worthy winners against the combative Fullerians Team.
Euan again showed us his strong running to cross for 2 well taken tries. Finn capped a fine performance with the a superb try which showed his pace when given the space.
Ollie B grabbed a poachers try to score which was the result of us pressing together. Harry completed the scoring going over from short range to show his strength and vision. Angus added 3 conversions.
Kieran ran himself into the ground and was a constant threat at the breakdown. Olly T also turned over the ball on a number of occasions showing good technique to steal the ball.
The chuckle brothers ( Ben and Oscar) were all over the park and were strong in defence.
All the new players settled into the game really well and Will and Tayden had strong games and Archie was everywhere playing at Prop to help keep out the Fullerians.
Nick and Brandon linked well all day and Elliot ran strongly to help us launch attack after attack.
Summary
As a team we defended strongly today against the larger opposition and again we are defending as a team rather than individuals. Man of the match went to Archie for a cracking debut and Finn for his strong running.
