Datchworth conceded early and never recovered as Nigerians moved to second place in the league.
From a strong Nigerians scrum, the ball was moved quickly to the centre and the oppositon powered through under the posts to take the lead. Nigerians then scored again in rapid succession, moving the ball quickly down the line to finish in the corner. Datchworth soon hit back with a well taken try from the visitors however. Good work up front led to the ball been passed down the line to the back's and Datchworth's winger to finish excellently by the corner flag.
Datchworth went into half time 22-5 down but came out for the second half firing on all cylinders. The green's applied pressure to the Nigerian's defence for the first twenty minutes of the second half but kept struggling to breach a stern home defence.
Too often the ball found itself spilt over the try line, the final pass lacking or the set piece going array and the home side made them pay in the final quarter. London Nigerians took full advantage of a tiring Datch defence and ran in several tries under the posts, the final score ending 63-5 - a somewhat misleading representation of the game. There were multiple positives to take from the game for Datch and with a cup tie in the midst, Datch will be training hard Tuesday to get one over on their local rivals Hitchin on Saturday.
