Datchworth made it two wins on the spin seeing off Haringey in a much improved league performance.

Having beaten rivals Hitchin last week in the cup, Datchworth
took the confidence through to Saturday's match although you wouldn't have thought it twenty minutes into the game.

Haringey were quick out of the blocks and after some strong forward play, Harringey bust through the Datchworth line to take the lead. This was quickly followed by a devastating break from the impressive Haringey number 11 which resulted in Haringey taking a 2 try and 12-0 lead. This seemed to kick the hosts into action as the forwards started to battle back, stealing balls in the lineout and getting a march on at scrum time, but not before Haringey scored a break a way try to storm in to a 17-0 lead, leaving Datchworth with an upward
struggle, up the hill.

Cue Datchworth's resurgence. Battling both up front and in the backs, the home side stormed up the pitch swiftly moving the ball to the wing, finding its way in to Jordan Brewer's hands. Jordan finished in his typical capable fashion and the home side's tails were up. Still not half time, Haringey were pressing for their fourth try but a timely breakaway interception from fly half Sam Brunton saw Datchworth trail just 17-12 at half time.

Playing down hill with the wind behind them, it was just a matter of minutes until Datchworth scored their third. A scrum fiver metres out led to Datchworth almost pushing the visitors over the line, with a number eight pick up from captain Matthew Francis to secure the try and give the hosts the lead for the first time in the match. This
try was quickly followed by an excellent try from Tom Bennett, thus securing the four try bonus point.

Haringey however came back at Datch demonstrating some sharp back play and some strong forward resistance, culminating in the sin bin of Datchworth flanker Dan Maguire. Datchworth defended sturdily and managed to work their way back in to the visitors half.

A fifth try looming, the ball found its way to prop Sam McBroom who after making hard yards casually offloaded to hooker Lewis Tyler to
finish the game in style for Datch, the final score 31-17.

A strong all round performance from the Green's and one that they will look to build upon Saturday away at high flyers Barnet, traditionally a tough encounter.
