Datchworth comeback too late in the game.

Cheshunt came out of the blocks firing and were 19-0 up inside twenty minutes through a combination of a strong offloading game and some poor first up tackling from the hosts.

Datchworth did manage to get themselves on the score sheet before half time though a lineout and mall giving them a fighting chance going in at half time 28-5 down.

Datchworth started the second half well, back to back tries from Richardson and McBroom saw them narrow the gap. However a great break from Cheshunt saw them take the sting out of the Datchworth comeback.

A late James Watt try was not enough as Datchworth secured a bonus point, going down to Cheshunt 40-22.
