Datchworth 1st XV v Fullerians A

It was a tough day for the men in green as they came up against a strong Fullerians side, ultimately going down 45-17.

From the start it was clear Datchworth would be in for a tough day with some disruption to the side meant that the scrum was immediately under pressure and conceding possession.

Fullerians were able to capitalise with the halfbacks running the game behind a powerful pack, Datchworth were able to stay in touch and when Alex Lloyd Williams picked a line through the heart of the Fullers defence and offloaded to a grateful Wood. Datchworth looked like they could stay within two scores at the break. However, following Datchworth's best period of the game and with half time approaching a high kick was eventually grabbed by a Fullers man to go over under the posts. Datchworth then conceded at the start of the second half which effectively ended the contest.

The Greens continued to fight to the end and were close to securing a 4 try bonus point when attacking in the final moments however yet another turnover gifted the dominant Fullerians side a well- deserved victory.

At the end the stand out Stuart Young immediately set the teams sights on the challenge coming up facing Letchworth away next week.
