Datchworth U9's save their best until last!!

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts,OA's, to a development team festival. Other visitors invited were: Welwyn, Barnet, Upminster, and Amersham, with OA's fielding 2 squads.

The results of our 6 matches were:
Game 1 2-2 draw
Game 2 6-2 loss
Game 3 4-1 loss
Game 4 4-3 loss
Game 5 5-4 win and
Game 6 6-4 win

The whole squad put in an amazing work rate today and really played as a unit. We had numerous good examples of link up play with much quicker and improved off-loading. Every single player made a difference and played their part and Mark and I were immensely proud of your efforts.

We decided to pick a different team for each fixture which allowed all the players to be guaranteed 4 full games each without much in the way of substitutions. This really helped their game especially in defence where the lines were very disciplined and the tackling ruthless and on some occasions ferocious! Keep looking for your team mates before committing to the contact and we will vastly improve our try count and wins.

We nicked third place from Welwyn due to our increased try for and against rate , so well done to you all.
