Some late organisational skills by your team manager secured a visit from local rivals Hertford. The squad was divided into roughly 2 equal ability teams and we managed to play six matches before a well earned hot dog, or two!!
The matches were alternated. T1 playing matches 1, 3, and 5.

Once again the whole squad played their part and put in a monumental shift. Had it not been for the clock saying 30 seconds left match 3 could have been stopped as we were 6 tries ahead! Numerous occasions of disciplined and fast defensive work resulting in turn over after turn over. That first tackle is so important to our ability to hold back stronger squads and it is why, as coaches, we enforce the message week after week. Ieuan had a wonderful timed interception resulting in a try. Ruby displayed some very sure handling receiving some passes that were not for the taking, she ran some great lines and off loaded quickly. Sidney ran deep to take a pass at speed and burst through a 3 man defensive wall, had it not been for a rear guard he would certainly have scored a try. Stanley is proving himself to be a natural rugby player. Since his arrival he has not had a bad game. He runs fast and straight and his tackling his most impressive. Those established "A" team players need to start looking at their game because changes are afoot!! We also welcomed another new player who has already signed up to the ruck and maul sessions. A big hello to William Lowe and his Dad Dan.
Finally thank you to those who assisted in preparing the food post match. As we all know it is a nightmare to get food at the end and it really helped us all to avoid the counter!!
