In an outstanding display Datchworth won the game 30 -24 playing on the London Welsh first team pitch which gave the greens every chance to move the much larger Welsh forwards around the field and score some great tries.

The home side however, again perfect hosts, used their size and power to good effect and after Datchworth took a well deserved early two try lead Welsh fought back and went ahead only for Datchworth to come back into the game and get ahead and ultimately manage field position well to close the game out.

Dominic Lant finished the match with a hat trick of tries which was a reward for his speed and the work of the players inside moving the ball with speed and accuracy. Dominic Negri and added one with The Man of the Match Owen MacGillivray stepping his way under the posts which capped a superb display from him at outside centre. The Datchworth defence stood up well to some intense attack and managed to contain their League 3 opponents.

The Champagne moment awarded by the parents went to George Little for a last minute drop goal.
