Busy Sunday

The u15’s played Twickenham at home and ran out convincing 41 – 14 winners securing another potentially crucial bonus point which put the men in green top of their league.

However the visitors got off to a fine start with some stout defence dealing with the Datchworth attack and scoring the first try of the match with a well executed drive from a lineout, they stretched further ahead with a lapse from Datchworth and a loose ball being dotted down by Twickenham. Despite some good tactical kicking from the Twickenham scrum half Datchworth counter attacked well and moved the ball effectively with backs and forwards combining to good effect.

Samuel Elvery recovering from a virus was outstanding and rounded off a good move outpacing the defence wide and scoring and later adding another.

Further tries came from Theo Wise (2), Dominic Negri (2)

Man of the match was awarded to Theo Wise who posed a constant threat and showed great pace for his two tries, he pipped Christopher Saunders for the award who was outstanding all day and showed pace and determination all day which was rewarded when ,after a fine run he offloaded in a tackle to put Dominic Negri in under the posts. The 'champagne' moment awarded to TJ Woods who capped a fine performance with another trademark try saving one on one last ditch tackle.
