Datch u15s v Tring - 10/09/2017 – Lost 29-12

Datch played against a well drilled Tring side and took a while to adjust unfortunately Tring had scored a couple of tries before we got going. When we did start to play the commitment level was good and we started to compete at the breakdown which gave us ball to release the backs. The forwards were strong in the scrum and the lineout worked really well with us lifting the jumper for the first time.

We scored through Ben and Kieran with one conversion being added to by Angus. The scoreline does not truly reflect the game , as our handling errors turned the ball over at critical times just when we looked like scoring.

Man of the Match went to Ollie T who led from the front and was instrumental in Kieran's try.

Conclusion

Effort level cannot be faulted and the commitment was excellent. There are some areas that we need to work on going forward but on the whole , a game which allowed us to try people in different positions.
