Datch u15s v Ruislip - 17/09/2017 – Drew 29-29

Datch had a hard fought draw which was ultimately a fair result , as both teams played committed rugby the whole game.

Datch started the game in typical fashion by conceding an early try. Tayden opened the Datch account with a fine run and things were level.

Datch went back to sleep for a while and found themselves 17-5 down , and to their credit this galvanised the team and was the wake up call we needed. Ollie B scored 2 tries and with Angus adding 1 conversion , the score was 17-17 and it was game on.

Oscar capped a Man of the Match performance with the try that took Datch into the lead (Angus adding the 2 points) , and it suddenly looked as though a win was possible when Finn extended a league with a fine try to remind us of his pace. 29-17 up !

Ruislip never gave up and came back to score and level the game at 29-29.

Summary

Again some things to work on but an encouraging result against much larger opponents and we showed what we are capable of with the ball in hand.
